Kota's one of the premier coaching institute Allen has snagged a place in the Limca Book of Records as the county's largest educational institute.
According to a report published in HT city, editor of the Limca Book of Records, Vijya Ghosh said, ''Allen Career Institute, which is the largest educational institute at a single location, enrolled 66,504 student in its classroom programme at Kota, Rajasthan in August 2014 to feature in record books."
Rajesh Maheshwari, founded the institute in 1988 with the roll of only eight students and faciliated coaching for AIPMT, IIT-JEE, AIIMS, NTSE and National Olympiads. In 2015, student enrollment count has already crossed the 76,000 mark and still ongoing. The institute aims to enroll more than two lakh students by 2020.
Allen has 12 centers across the country including those in Kota, Jaipur, Bhilwara, Mumbai and other cities. Kota is versed for its coaching institutes which draw a large number of students who are looking to prepare for engineering and medical entrance examinations.
