This is a list of annoying things people do on your birthday! If you have recently had your birthday, or have it anytime soon, or have had it in the past which I'm pretty sure you have, I think you'll relate to what I'm trying to say here. So there you go; with the annoying things people do on your birthday!
1. Wish you via social media.
It's effing cold. You couldn't find the time to personally text me on my birthday and now you're all over social media pretending you're my bestie! Like the F girl.
2. When your parents think you're too old for birthday presents. Or they downright forget it's your birthday.
This ain't no Christmas dad. This my birthday! It is under all circumstances unacceptable that you do no get me a birthday present. And you and mom have to get separate ones. Yes, I said it. You should know this shit like what are you? Jon Snow? And the worst is when you ask what they got you for birthday and they're like, 'Blessings'. Like really mum? Can I wear the blessings and go to the party next week? I don't think so. And sometimes, they just forget it's your birthday; like how? Weren't you there when I was born? Am I adopted?
3. When even people you never talk to come up and be like.. Treat!
NO. You don't even talk to me. All year long you've been pretending I don't exist and BAM. Suddenly I do? No. Please stay away from me.
4. When you get a creepy birthday call / text from an unknown number.
And you can't really text back or call back because you ain't sure and if it's a call and you've answered it, you just sit there like a potato, pretending to know who is talking on the other end and trying to decipher it in your head.
5. When elders wish you.
And they never forget to ask how old you are because now you're old enough for 'Rishtas' and everything. Like NO. I'm still a kid. I can't take responsibility. I can't even take responsibility for myself because I don't know what to do without mum. Not just that, they also wanna know what you're doing like, are you an engineer or a doctor yet?
